From Linda Traxler
Recently I went to my friends home for a tour.  Allen and his family had purchased a 100 year old Gresham home and have remodeled the whole thing.  They wanted to try to keep as much of what the 100 year old house had to offer.  They recycled old doors, moved rooms, raised ceilings but still kept the integrity of the home.   Their house reminded me of our grandparents home.  It was painted red with white trim.  It had started out, what appeared to be the one or two rooms and then the additions: a bedroom here, bathroom added there, and an upstairs with low ceilings.  They had to raise those ceilings as Allen is pretty tall.  As I walked through their home I was reminiscing about the Baker home.  I have many fond memories of the old house. Running through Grandmas bedroom to get to all the rooms upstairs and the ladder the attic was something all us kids did.  It’s fun to look back and remember the old times and the growing up on “the farm”.  I also got to share some of my own stories as we walked through their home.
